Carlos has a wealth of experience aboard luxury crewed charter yachts and has been sailing for many years throughout the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Bahamas, including ocean crossings multiple times. He has a clear focus on the safety of the yacht, guests and crew. Carlos enjoys leading his crew and passing on his knowledge, creating a team that runs smoothly and seamlessly. Ensuring his guests are given an unforgettable and relaxing charter vacation, he will go out of his way to make sure every last detail is covered. Some of his previous positions have included Captain of S/Y FIREFLY 62 ft., First Mate on S/Y XARIFA 164ft. and First Mate on S/Y ESPIRITU DEL XAREY 141ft. Carlos also holds an Advanced PADI/ Nitrox.

Natalia hails from Russia, she embarked on a sailing career in 2018 and never looked back. Her ability to work well in a team is evident, she easily transitions between interior duties and assisting on the exterior. With excellent service skills and a polite demeanour, guests well looked after and comfortable. Natalia has sailed both the Mediterranean and Caribbean seas, making her an excellent fit for Calmao. Hobbies include sailing, diving and wakeboarding. Natalia has worked together with Captain Carlos for over 2 years on S/Y FIREFLY.

Originally from Gijon, Spain, Juan Ramón started his first hospitality business at the age of 23. This experience helped him to acquire a strong work ethic, dedication and a positive attitude. He holds a degree in Cooking and Gastronomy from Instituto de Educación Secundaria Leopoldo Alas Clarín in Oviedo. After finishing the studies, he had the chance to learn from the best professionals which allowed his passion for cooking to grow even more. Juan Ramón believes in supporting local producers and providing his guests with the local culinary experience by uniting tradition and modernity. His ambition is to make healthy, nutritious and, above all, tasty food. Juan Ramón’s extensive culinary knowledge allows him to adapt to all types of client’s diets (vegan diet, food allergies, specific religious dietary restrictions or simply personal likes and dislikes). He is a dynamic, cheerful and resolute person.
